Jani Kahrama of Secret Exit let us know they have made available their 3D shape-matching puzzle game, Spin ($4.99), in which you take a number of 3D objects and rotate them to match the silhouette behind it before the time runs out. While it sounds simple, it’s quite fun, nevertheless. The developer mentioned that, while the game starts off appealing to casual gamers, the later stages of the game should appeal to the hardcore “twitch” gamer for fast-paced challenges.
Spin will feature:
- Three game modes:
- Arcade with 100 hand-tuned stages in 10 difficulty levels (unlocked as you progress. Difficulty level 11, ‘Beyond’, is also unlockable…)
- Frantic mode where each object has to be matched quicker than the previous
- Minute Rush, in which the game lasts 60 seconds
- Trophies are unlocked in Arcade mode by reaching certain criteria, such as unlocking new difficulty levels or collecting enough “Ranking Stars”. Each trophy is a new object unlocked into the gameplay
- Soundtrack by Jonne ‘Purple Motion’ Valtonen of modest demoscene reputation
- 100 different 3D objects

This game is awesome in a Nintendo kind of way, a lot of Nintendo games look cheesy but they are actually quite fun, the same goes for SPiN, really unexpected.
Keep up the great work Matt!
