Antimatter in App Store, $0.99


Enigmo ($0.99) developer Pangea Software released Antimatter ($0.99) to the App Store, its first iPhone/iPod Touch title that hasn’t been previously released for Mac. Penny-pinchers should note that the game falls under the studio’s one-week promotion (ending tomorrow) and is currently available at a “special introductory price.”

Advertising the title as a “particle arcade game,” even Pangea has a difficult time explaining Antimatter’s mechanics, admitting, “The game is so unique that it is hard to describe.” Apparently, using the touchscreen, players control a stream of antimatter particles in outer space and use it to change the colors of “Cosmic Strings.”

VC news weblog VentureBeat recorded a level from the game, which might better explain Antimatter’s physics-based gameplay:
