Skyworks has been busy lately, following up on its hit iPhone apps Arcade Bowling and Arcade Hoops Basketball with a quartet of new releases that hit the App Store this week.
First up is 3 Point Hoops Basketball ($1.99), an arcade-style basketball title that challenges players to sink three-point shots from nine different spots on the court. Two different gameplay modes are included, and players will be able to submit their best scores in both to a global high score board.
Poker Matchup ($1.99) offers a twist on the standard rules of poker, in that you’re able to swap cards from three different sets to form the single best possible five-card poker hand. Any unused cards will shift to a lower row, and it’s up to you to use these cards effectively after each new hand is dealt.
Mental Blocks ($1.99) is a more traditional puzzle experience in the vein of titles like Sega Swirl and ReMovem. You’re presented with a screen full of colored blocks. Touch a block to remove it and any surrounding blocks of the same color. Fun? It can be! A free Lite version is also available.
Finally, Field Goal Frenzy ($1.99) is a field goal kicking simulation that uses both flick and tilt controls. Players will flick to kick a ball placed between 30 and 60 yards down the field, and will then tilt the iPhone to guide its flight between the goalposts. Multiple gameplay modes and challenges are included.
