Finalists in the 2009 Independent Games Festival Mobile are now getting more recognition than ever, as Apple has collected the competition’s nominated iPhone and iPod Touch titles in a section featured on the front page of the iTunes App Store.
With front-page exposure in Apple’s multiplatform storefront, independently developed titles like Eliss, Fieldrunners, and Zen Bound will all likely see significant boosts in popularity (and sales numbers!) in the coming days.
Currently, the category can be reached by clicking the Independent Games Festival button located underneath the New and Noteworthy section of the iTunes front page. Users accessing the App Store from an iPhone or iPod Touch will see the button at the top of the New section of the Featured category.
Titles featured in the iTunes IGF category include:
- Dizzy Bee
- Edge
- Eliss
- Fieldrunners
- Frenzic
- Galcon
- Radio Flare
- Ruben & Lullaby

- Zen Bound
