iPhone developer NimbleBit has released lifetime sales figures and monthly performance breakdowns for all of its titles released in the App Store. The data NimbleBit presents tells an interesting, stereotype-breaking story of an average company’s App Store experience — one that is neither an overnight success nor a disappointment.
NimbleBit reveals that its most successful title to date is the ice cream-stacking action title Scoops, which has earned $140,000 in the eight months it’s spent in the App Store. Scoops, which was developed in one month’s time, earned $19,000 in sales throughout the month of May 2009 alone.
NimbleBit notes that its other titles have been moderate successes in comparison. Its letter-arranging puzzler Textropolis earned $1,400 over the last month, while the 10-month-old Hanoi Plus only pulled in $380. The company’s most recent success is Sky Burger, which has totaled $17,000 in revenue in its first two months of release.
NimbleBit attributes much of its success to its emphasis on cross promotion across all of its App Store releases, explaining that “Success of individual games can also be shared by all to a certain extent.” Graphs provided at NimbleBit’s site give monthly breakdowns for sales for all of its titles.
