
It’s been only a few hours since the iPhone OS 3.0 launched in North America, and already a number of popular apps have updated to take advantage of the firmware’s new features.
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the first apps to take advantage of OS 3.0′s feature set:
- Tap Tap Revenge 2.6 (Push notifications added for alerts, sounds, and icon badges.)
- Flick Fishing (New Fish Jack mode uses peer-to-peer connectivity for competitive multiplayer; Private Beach Pack available as In-App Purchase — includes a new fishing spot and 4 new fish.)
- Leaf Trombone: World Stage (Duet Mode requires peer-to-peer Bluetooth connection; Achievement alerts via push notifications.)
- TouchGrind (Music library access, playlist creation.)
- Star Defense (Forthcoming update includes support for ngmoco’s Plus social networking platform; additional levels downloadable via In-App Purchase.)
