Go Go Rescue Squad publisher Connect2Media has more games in store for the iPhone platform this summer. The company plans to release four more titles in the iTunes App Store in the coming months.
First up is Timeloop, an arcade-style puzzle game with a time travel mechanic. Players must use time loops to jump into the recent past and assist themselves in the present, in order to solve puzzles and save a laboratory full of kittens. Connect2Media admits that the concept is difficult to convey in text, but promises that it will make more sense during gameplay.
C2M’s next project is a port of Tumblebugs, a Flash-based Puzz Loop clone currently available as an online download at Big Fish Games, Yahoo!, and Shockwave’s games portal. The iPhone version will be developed by Tag Games, creators of the Grand Theft Auto-styled action game Car Jack Streets.
Connect2Media will then follow up with a port of String ‘Em In, a letter-connecting word game that originated as an interactive TV program in the UK. String ‘Em In ranks as the single most-played game on Virgin Media UK’s cable network, and recently launched as a popular Facebook application.
The company’s final summer release is 365 Sudoku, the first entry in a cross-platform, casual-oriented series of puzzle games. According to Connect2Media, the new franchise will “deliver timelessly playable games in a slick, iPhone environment with presentation and features that make full use of the iPhone’s features.” No details have been announced regarding future entries in the 365 series.
