In Bulkypix’s My Brute, you don’t play the game, it plays you. Well, sort of. Players who are familiar with the flash arena fighting game of the same name will feel right at home with this iPhone adaptation.
After creating a character through a simple but decent customization menu, players can enter their warrior into up to five fights a day. Like the flash game, instead of directly controlling the warrior, players just tap the ‘Battle’ button to be brought into an arena to watch the fight play out.
Victory depends on character stats, weapons, and even pets. My Brute is a very hands-off game.
Players pining for battle while away from their computers should be pleased to know that this iPhone version has most of the same features as the online My Brute. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out a way to import my already created character from the flash version to the iPhone.
Considering the game is more of a spectator’s sport, that didn’t bother me too much. One feature I especially appreciated was the ability to just skip the animations for a battle and go on to the next one.
Because players take such a passive role in My Brute, it’s hard to recommend to people who are in the market for an actual game. There’s not much to play, and the five battles per character, per day maximum limits the game somewhat. The hefty $4.99 price tag also makes me think twice, considering My Brute isn’t actually a game that people can actively play.

Great game, but I had to restart and lose all my characters because I didn’t join a very good dojo. Don’t hesitate to buy this! It is the best bang for your buck in ipod applications besides A-note!!! To prevent any frustration with lame characters, start off right:
