This weekend, Electronic Arts announced the formation of 8lb Gorilla, a development studio focused on the development of low-cost, casual-oriented iPhone games. 8lb Gorilla’s first title, Zombies & Me ($0.99), is now available for purchase at the iTunes App Store.
In Zombies & Me, the player’s unarmed character is all that stands between his grandmother’s house and an unending horde of undead creatures. It’s up to the character to distract the zombies and guide them into the path of incoming explosives, courtesy of a local military carpet bombing operation.
Zombies & Me’s scope is tightly focused — its feature list basically boils down to “zombies,” “explosions,” and “three ways to die.” The game represents a significant shift in style in comparison to EA’s previous iPhone releases, which largely consist of higher-priced “premium” apps like The Sims 3 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour.
EA plans to release one new 8lb Gorilla title each month, provided that each game passes Apple’s approval process in the expected timeframe.

So… Confusing: Would this be admissible to Indie Games?
