Walaber’s JellyCar was an impressive effort in the early days of the App Store, boasting simple gameplay that took advantage of the iPhone’s touch screen and accelerometer. Today brings the long-awaited release of JellyCar 2 ($0.99), published in cooperation with Disney Interactive.
Like its predecessor, JellyCar 2 contains a series of physics-based puzzles and challenges in a squishy, rubbery world. Players control an equally malleable car, which can grow, stretch, and shrink as it traverses an alien terrain filled with geometric shapes and primary colors.
So what’s new in JellyCar 2? Well, aside from the game being “even squishier” than before, developer Walaber has added a level editor, allowing players to create customized challenges using more than 40 different construction pieces. The game also includes the brand-new Jelly Factory puzzle mode (pictured above), along with a Long Jump challenge.
