Warner Bros. Announces Dueling Wizardry App Harry Potter Spells

harrypotterWarner Bros. announced that the iPhone’s first official Harry Potter game is on its way to the App Store. Harry Potter Spells is a magic simulation title that transforms the iPhone into a virtual magic wand, enabling players to cast spells through motion-sensing technology.

The game includes a lineup of 14 spells, each of which requires a different gesture to activate. These spells can be used in virtual wizard duels against an AI-controlled opponent or in a real-time multiplayer match against friends via a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.

The game’s dueling mechanic involves a fair amount of strategy. Certain spells can be used to counter the other players’ attacks, and there’s bound to be a great amount of tension in remembering how to activate countermeasures when your opponent is flinging virtual fireballs and snakes your way.

Harry Potter Spells also includes a virtual Hogwarts tour and a magic-casting tutorial mode. Another feature allows players to record their own voice samples, which will automatically play when the appropriate spell is cast. Harry Potter fans should find a lot to like in this app when it debuts on November 16th.

Hi,
I like this article but..
last night i went to the midnight premiere of harry potter and the half blood prince! I was honestly so disappointed! was it just me or did it seem very choppy and for some reason didn’t feel like it was a harry potter movie. Don’t get me wrong some of the parts in it were either really funny or somewhat scary but i really was not satisfied. I don’t know, what did you think?? Am i wrong? Give me your opinions..
