Every Monday, FingerGaming rounds up the most popular paid iPhone and iPod Touch applications, as current that day on the iTunes App Store. This week’s top titles are:
- Doodle Jump ($0.99)
- Skee-Ball ($0.99)
- Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars ($9.99)
- Bejeweled 2 ($2.99)
- Trenches ($1.99)
- Colosseum ($0.99)
- Rock Band ($6.99)
- Moto X Mayhem ($0.99)
- Frogger ($0.99)
- Bungee Stickmen 2010 ($0.99)
Doodle Jump and Skee-Ball stay at the top of the paid app charts for the second week in a row, but both titles face new competition from Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, which enters today’s rankings at third place.
Chinatown Wars emerged as the App Store’s top-grossing application only a few days after its initial release last week, and could maintain a strong presence in both charts for weeks to come.
Last week’s third-place title Colosseum drops to sixth in today’s chart, as Bejeweled 2 and Trenches move up to fourth and fifth. Rock Band returns at seventh place following the recent release of a free trial version, while Moto X Mayhem, Frogger, and Bungee Stickmen 2010 take the final three chart spots.
