It’s out! HandCircus’ Rolando 2: Quest for the Golden Orchid ($9.99) has been released, and is now available for purchase at the iTunes App Store.

Rolando 2 is the greatly anticipated sequel to ngmoco’s hit action-puzzler Rolando, released late last year for the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Rolando quickly became one of the App Store’s star titles, winning a number of awards and serving as a benchmark for games that followed in its wake.

Players can expect several new gameplay elements in Rolando 2, as the Rolando characters can now fly, float, and command a number of vehicles. Rolando 2 features 45 levels of platforming action, and sports a new 2.5D look that adds greater depth to its tropical environments.

ngmoco brings news that HandCircus’ awaited puzzle-platformer Rolando ($9.99) is now available at the iTunes App Store. ngmoco’s most ambitious iPhone project to date, Rolando features interactive environments, physics-based puzzles, and a control setup that takes advantage of the hardware’s tilt and multi-touch functions.
