Fullpower Technologies has dropped the price of their dice poker game, MotionX Poker ($0.99) from $4.99 to 99 cents. You can read our review of MotionX Poker here, where we found the game to be very addictive, polished, and shows off great use of physics and sound. At 99 cents, this is a fantastic deal worth getting. Description from the developer:
Shake your iPhone and feel how MotionXâ„¢ puts real dice in your hand. Like Magic. Test your poker skills. Challenge the casino. Be a winner.
Fast paced dice poker action! In classic card poker, a full house beats a straight. However, in dice poker, a straight beats a full house because with five dice, the probability of getting a straight is lower. After one roll, the probability of a straight is 1 in 32.4 as opposed to 1 in 25.9 for a full house. That makes it even more fun. Good luck!

Don’t confuse this with the critically acclaimed MotionX Poker, which we still believe to be one of the best games you can buy in the App Store. MotionX Dice is a free version showing off fullpower’s technology. Not only is this a great way to drum up interest for MotionX Poker, but it’s a great set of virtual dice to have available for any other games you may play, such as:
- Yahtzee
- Dice Poker
- Craps
- Monopoly
There are 9 dice styles to choose from, and you can select from 1 to 5 dice. The settings allow you to choose from red, blue, or green tables and turn on and off sound and vibrate.
As with MotionX Poker, when rolling the dice, depending on the dice and table, the sound effects sound realistic for the kind of dice being used (metal, plastic, wood, etc.) It also uses the excellent physics engine, and allows you to hold dice after each roll. You can get MotionX Dice in the App Store.
